The food was delicious. The service from most of the staff was amazing. However, the pickering casino scam apparently extends to the restaursnt too!!! We had a 85$ bill for our dinner and drinks. The server brings over the machine and tells us "oh is that a credit card" changes the price to 90!!!!!! We asked what he was doing and said "yeah management makes us charge more when customers decide not to pay cash or debit" What on earth!!!! We own restaurants and would never do this to a customer. So we changed our tip from 20$ to 10$. This makes the resort, your restaurant and the entire industry jaded and its clear why your restaurant is rated under 3 stars. Disgusting.
The foods mostly yummy, I love the steak with chirimuri sause on top but now they remove it from menu and replace it with nasi goreng. Why they dont replace it with chicken fingger and fries, Im sure people will like it as well. Today my hubby get nachos but the color of the paper bake is stick with the food and leave the mark on cheese as you can see on the picture. I am wondering is it safe to eat it? Why dont use plain white paper bake? Thanks Other new food replace fried rice is Bakmi goreng, Indonesian dishes supposed to be yummy dry and spicy, but the way casual Pik make it is not yummy but not bad. Goreng mean fry so supposed ro be dry no sauce but this noodle wet and use wrong noodle (udon) supposed to be egg noodle, slice meat, veg can be carrot cabage, green onion, black papper garlic salt, use sweat soy sauce to make color liltle brown and and garnis with fried onion, coriander leaf.
I really like the food and service. I ordered food to to go a week ago (and another time). Both times I ordered i didn't receive all that I ordered, and the time before I received an order which was not what I ordered. Tonight I went in there and the supervisor came out and rectified the mistake. He was very pleasant. He also went over and beyond to rectify the mishap. My issue was never with the food. I will say, there burger is kick ass delicious! Thank you to the staff and supervisor. (January 18th, 2025.)
We came down to see the christmas in space event to Pickering casino and we had dinner in casual restaurant. Me and my mom had chicken souvlaki and my dad and the burger. Our souvlaki was so good and decent price. Meat was tender and juicy alot of tatziki with it overall a full meal. My dad was very happy with the burger. We will definitely come back if we are in Pickering
Servers were good, hostess/head server was not. She proceeded to yell at our group when they suggested to move a table. Drinks took a very long time. Food was disappointing. I ordered the chicken souvlaki, it was described as skewers on a Greek salad with pita bread and tzatziki. I got 3 cold small skewers on a palm full of some old romaine, a few pieces of onion, 1 grape tomato cut in half and 3 olives on top of a pita with no dressing on "the salad" with tzatziki on the side. Someone beside me had the Guinness stew special and it smelled horrible and looked like it was out of a can. No one was impressed with anything that came out of that kitchen. Really disappointed by the whole experience. I'm not sure where the 5 star reviews came from, if they were paid to write it? But I would not recommend.
Watched the wait staff and manager arguing with each for 20 mins, service was annoying and staff was even arguing with customers over their bill Decided to go to the steak house next door Was more pleasant experience
We went there tonight for a casual, enjoyable bite. NOT!!! We waited 25 minutes for drinks. Table next to us felt bad enough for us, THEY called the manager over and told him we had been waiting 25 minutes. No apologies, he walked away and raised his voice in the kitchen at someone. We ordered a Stella and Virgin Ceasar. After another 15 minutes we were presented with a coke and regular Ceasar. Alcohol is a serious no no for me. Good thing I said, "this is a virgin Ceasar right"? Oh no it's not. Let's try that one again. Another 25 minuted we received our proper drinks. We ordered a burger with bacon and cheese and nachos. We were presented with nachos and fish and chips. Let's try this again. The nachos were burnt and no burger to come. Waitress apologized for human error and machines error, NOT! Presented with the bill, still had the charges for the cheese and bacon, but not the burger which we never received or ate. Let's try the bill again. Waitress said, " this was bad, no need to tip" Absolutely not!!!! Worst experience in a restaurant in a long while. Watched the manager walking around trying to look to engaged and busy. Upon exiting this fabulous place, so called manager and hostess in a heated argument at the front entrance, I motioned with my hands to let me out this circus. This place should be shut down!!!! Bloody circus!!!!!! I would like my $49 back please.
