Tricky review. The young woman at the counter was lovely and was really warm and kind. The food when it came even though it was 'for here' came wrapped up in a sandwich bag which didn't feel very cafe like at all. Then when I said that it was a little dry and would be better with some marinara sauce, the man told me that there would be a charge of $2 and then he charged me also for hot peppers. Of course I tipped 18% and I felt that the two dollars and 50 cents was a really silly way of making a customer feel appreciated. If it was my business, I would plate the food and make it look appealing and if a customer asks for some sauce to make it less dry, I would just add that to the menu. The two-dollar charge could be part of the menu. But for that customer that first suggested it I would have just given it to them. The food was great but the experience was weird
Working the area I was looking for a new spot to eat during my lunch hour. I just got to say I am instantly hooked on the eggplant sandwich with sweet peppers. The eggplant sandwich is absolutely amazing ... I had it three times this week. Many blessings to the Belaggios staff ... see you at lunch.
We got two sandwiches and 4 flavours of gelato. We wish we knew about this place sooner. I’m super frugal and seldom do I choose to eat out. The ladies that work here are so lovely, the food and gelato amazing. We will be returning.
Had a great experience here recently. The piccolino veal sandwich was to die for with the tomato sauce on the side. Plus it was such a great steal at only $12.99. I could only finish half of it then had the rest at home & it was still pretty good. They also have a really good selection of gelato but the Mango & Raspberry were my favorite!!
I like this place! Even if you get a small size you’re still able to mix flavours which is nice. I got the pistachio and hazelnut gelato and it was really really nice. Love the little bits of nuts you get every few bites cause it adds texture. I will come back to try the tiramisu and nutella flavour :)
Veal parmigiana is so so. They nickel and dime you for toppings. Staff is unwelcoming.
This a great spot for Italian style sandwiches. Veal sandwich is amazing. They also do paninis, pasta, salads and soups. Let's not forget the gelato. So many different flavours. Great place to go in Pickering
Great local Italian style diner with fantastic veil, chicken or eggplant parmigiano sandwiches. They also have a variety of Gelato flavors to top off your meal. Seats about 20+ comfortably. Wheelchair friendly and plenty of free parking.
Went in today for a chicken sandwich, service was great and so was my meal!
Awesome spot that's easy to miss. Great Italian sandwiches, arancini and coffee.
