Got my brakes and rotors changed. It was a clean job, hassle free, great commination throughout. I initially went there with a complaint about sounds coming from the rear when breaking. Their diagnosis was spot on and solved the issue. The pricing is also quite reasonable.
I just want to say how impressed I am with the customer service at Car Doc! I called several mechanics to see if they could get me in last minute and the receptionist was willing to accommodate me. There are people that make you feel at ease when you talk to them and there was no pressure or upsell. That is how i felt talking to Vik, straight to the point and he was able to explain and show me what the issue was. I am beyond impressed and would highly recommend.
I can not say enough about Car Doc - the owner is genuine and takes a real interest in telling what needs to be done immediately and what can wait a little and he presents it in a matter of fact way. I brought an older car for my sister and he did the necessary work which he fully explained and he is very reasonably priced. He is one of best mechanics in Pickering!
Finding a good, honest and reliable mechanic is not easy these days but after a lot of trial and error through the years I can confidently say I finally found just that. Car doc surpassed all my expectations and took care of me and my vehicle as if we were family. From the receptionist at the front desk to the mechanics and even the owner, showed me great hospitality and were very honest and helpful while fixing my car. There professionalism and work ethic went above and beyond. I am grateful to everyone at the shop. I highly recommend everyone to reach out to them for all your vehicle needs. I took my BMW to another shop downtown Toronto to find the source of a squeel coming from the engine. It was a belt tensioner caused by an oil leak from the oil filter housing gasket. I had the belt tensioner and belt replaced at that shop. They also noted oil leaking from my CCV. They quoted me $1400 to have both of those replaced. My friend recommended I take it to Car Doc as they did an engine swap for him. So I took my car to Car Doc and they inspected the problem areas to confirm that there was indeed an oil leak. He told me over the phone that the oil leak from the CCV was minimal and didnt need to be fixed right away and I could wait until it gets worse to fix that. But since the car was already there and I chose to get it fixed anyway. Car Doc did the work to fix my oil leaks for less than HALF of what the other shop quoted. It was a bit of a hassle to drop off and pick up my car in pickering while I live in Toronto. But to save over $700 it was very much worth it. I will bring my car here for any major repairs. When I went to pick up my car he showed me the faults in all the parts he replaced. (Broken hoses and a dried out gasket) Highly recommend Rocky and his team for fast service that wont break the bank.
I've struggled over the years to find a go-to mechanic, but for the past couple years I can confidently say I'm found the right guys. It puts me at ease that I have somewhere to take it where I know I won't get ripped off and most importantly I'll get my car back in top shape for the right price.
