This site stole my husbands tires and rims!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!He originally went it for a new set of tires. When they took off his old tires (which werent old, maybe 9,000 kms on them, he was just upgraded them) the damaged 2 or the original tires wheel walls. They didnt even put the original tires back in his car. He went to get them then noticed 2 of the tires had damaged beads. He confronted the store about the tires and that they had to replace them and they didnt want to. After much discussion, they eventually ordered him 2 tires to replace the damaged ones. Gets even better. When he got home, I went to check out the new tires (Just a note. This car rolled out of the show room this March. New!) every single rim had damage on them. So back to Canadian tire we went. The store general manager came out, saw all 4 rims had damage, and then said we will replace all 4 rims, up to the value of what they are. Well, these rims happened to cost about $1,800.00 with tax! We didnt know this. So my husband then started to see what Canadian tire had in for rims as to try and save them some money. Ended up being cheaper to get a set of tires and rims that were a size bigger. So, for some reason, Canadian tire wanted to keep his original rims, (which was iffy) and the tires which we paid for!!! Umm. You were replacing the value of the original rims! Then, once they were installed (WE DID NOT GET ORIGINAL TIRES AND RIMS BACK) they had installed them wrong which cause the car to shake while driving. Turns out these rims needed hub centric rings. He got them installed at a proper rim shop which cost about $135.00. When he phoned Pickering Canadian tire, the general manager NEW the car had been sent out without them!!!! We have been disputing since August now and still havent received the $135.00 my husband had to pay for their mistake. I AM TOTALLY DISGUSTED. DO NOT SHOP HERE!
Shawn and his fellow mechanic were fantastic! We were heading to Montreal with a truck in tow and we couldnt get the differential off. They made time for us right then and there and it took them a few minutes to get us back on the road! Incredible customer service!
Service department doesn't explain alternative options. They just want to sell sell sell. Came in with a flat tire that I had purchased and installed from Canadian Tire Whitby North. I was told that there was nothing that they could do to plug the hole because it was too close to the edge. This is fair but I wasn't given any other options. Glad I left and went to Canadian Tire Whitby North instead where I was able to prorate my tire and save a ton of money.
Went in with nail in tire. Requested fix. Waited 2 hours. They lost work docket, and seemed really incompetent. Payed and left with nail still in tire and no advice or explanation about it. I guess they thought I would be too stupid to notice. Not the first time I received shoddy work here. Thought I was safe with a simple tire patch or new tire. Will never go back here.
Great location. Lots of stock, good selection. As soon as I walked in I asked an associate for help with a patio umbrella. Greg stopped what he was doing until I walked out with my new umbrella. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Its not even the closest CT to me.
