This place is a hidden gem. Excellent fresh food great value and quick efficient service. Also wonderful supporters of the community. Ordered a chicken soup but it seems like you must order the chicken separately because where is the chicken!? It's soup man. Be fr and do better. Even if you wanted to add more veggies in it but it's basically broth. I want Jamaican ppl to do better..
Always love the Jamaican patties here. Friendly service. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu but the patties are some of the best out there. Decently priced. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced and the portions are a good size.
I literally just ate the food and it was terrible. I wanted Caribbean food not Chinese food. It lacked flavour, the meat just tasted like salt. Don’t waste your money. With all due respect, in 2025, people have a right to their opinion. I like Chinese food and and I would never judge their people. I didn’t like the food I ate. To me, it tasted more like Chinese food than Caribbean, plus there was too much salt in the meat I ate. If I want Chinese food, I know where to go. I just didn’t not like the food I ate. I have had much better Caribbean food. Diversity does not offend me. I love all people. You are correct that your restaurant isn’t my spot. Thank you.
Visited the Pickering location for the first time and the service was just as good as their first location! Very welcoming and friendly. We got their stuffed patties and it was super delicious! The key is always to get oxtail gravy on it as well :) will definitely be back to get it again
I used to love this place. I say "used to" because I have a limited ability to enjoy restaurant food. My food tolerance sucks to say the least. I knew I could always enjoy a chicken curry roti. It always tastes good, but the last three times I picked up their food it upset my system. Why "three times" you ask? I just wanted to make sure I wasn't wrong. Now I know. Without going into detail, such upset to my system only happens when I eat food that is not fresh. So you can do the math.
Best spot for patties and jerk chicken sandwiches. I used to go to the one in Toronto all the time. Glad to see that they've branched out to Pickering!
