Do not go here if you are pregnant. My ultrasounds were sent to the wrong office. My midwives never got one scan in the FIVE MONTHS OF GOING THERE. They had me do my anotamy scan 7-9. Midwives told me after two times they should have sent me to the hospital with people who were more experienced and better equiped. I felt super rushed when I did do a scan and just neglected overall.
This service provider is quite interesting, being, I've experienced both satisfactory and unsatisfactory service. Unfortunately, today's interaction with the respiratory technician has left me feeling annoyed and disrespected. I'm not sure how my race would contribute to my breathing test results and when I said "Canadian", it was questioned, "What's your real race" I should not have justify my racial origins to a technician. In addition, the technician consistently belittled me, stating, "I wasn't following his directions, I wasn't breathing out hard enough, how they had to re-run the tests numerous times" etc. I'm there for a breathing test, this should a least flag the thought that I'm experiencing breathing challenges, should it not? I left my appointment overwhelmed and in tears, completely embarrassed and infront of an office full of waiting people. If I am required to attend another test, I will not be facilitating it here!
I arrived at the clinic with my child after the walk in hours had ended. We received a requisition from urgent care and my child was in pain, Shreya was kind enough to fit us in. The X-ray technician, Dharam, was kind and very patient. Thank you to the staff for their compassion and dedication to their patients.
The receptionist staff have given me the complete runaround when trying to book an appointment. Tried to call 2 months ahead for a follow up appointment and was told to call a week before I need a follow up. Called a week before, and was told to call week of or come in for a walk in as appointments are always available. Called same day and walked in, but was given an appointment time 4 days out. When I mentioned the inconsistency between each staff member I’ve talked to, and when I asked why I couldn’t make an appointment the week prior if they’re booking days out in advance anyways, I wasn't even offered an explanation or an apology for the hassle. I called WELL Health right after leaving this clinic to schedule an appointment there instead, and they were so accommodating and friendly, unlike any other interaction I’ve had throughout the years I’ve been going to Pickering Diagnostic Imaging.
I’m very disappointed with the level of professionalism shown by the reception staff. When patients walk in, they expect to be greeted and assisted, but instead, the receptionists are busy talking to each other in their own Indian language, completely ignoring the patients. This behavior is unprofessional and disrespectful. As a patient, I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. I hope this issue is addressed seriously, as it reflects poorly on the quality of care being provided.
I had a mixed experience at this diagnostics and imaging center. My appointment involved both a radiologist and a respiratory therapist. The radiologist was excellent—professional, courteous, and reassuring throughout the process. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the respiratory therapist. Their demeanor was unprofessional and unsettling, showing a clear lack of empathy and composure. It's crucial for healthcare professionals, especially those conducting sensitive tests like pulmonary function tests (PFTs), to maintain a calm and respectful attitude. Personal frustrations should never interfere with patient care, as it can compromise both the experience and the accuracy of results. If you're considering this center for respiratory testing, I would strongly recommend exploring other options.
I was there today. I don't know why anyone would give a bad review here My guy was awesome. In fact, because of my quick results I can now work towards a solution to a long term issue. Thank you for your help today. My tech was very friendly and helpful and very understanding of the pain I am in. Thank you for your compassion and professionalism.
