I went in for pregnancy ultrasound and I must say the technician was very unprofessional. On the first occasion she suggested babies are parasites which was baffling to me as I'm pregnant with my first child ma'am please keep your disturbing opinions to your self. The second occasion I came back at 36 weeks and she made me quite worried when she said it's not normal to get ultrasounds as often as I was (my previous one was a week or two before that). Well my midwife sent me for a specific reason (baby was in breech position) and it really wasn't her place to speak on that, because turns out she's wrong and at that stage of pregnancy it is normal. I think her name was Fatima. Anyways after that I haven't returned back, which is a shame since the first technician I dealt with was great although I don't know her name (she wore hijab).
Very ridiculous receptionist. She offered one slot, and i wasn't available at that time and She just suggested another location instead of giving a new time,
I had a great experience at EXR! The receptionist was very nice and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable right away. Fatima, who did my ultrasound, was fantastic—she was very thorough and took the time to explain everything to me. I'm definitely planning to go here for the remainder of my pregnancy!
This (Dersan Road location) is a very nice new clean and professionally run location with excellent staff and service. I had both Ultrasound and Xray's done twice. I removed one star not for the office but because of the organizations website. Their website appointment booking system is faulty. You cannot select "xray" as an option and you cannot submit a PDF of your requisition which is what all doctors use. Instead I had to convert mine to a PNG format which is extremely cumbersome if your requisition document is more than 1 page. If they fix this they are 5 out of 5.
You have to pay for parking now $4.59 for 3hours. You can pay by QR code, app or machine located in lobby. Still not enough accessible parking. Updated review. Super annoyed. When they first opened they were more organized than what they are now but at least there is someone who answers the phone. Always call ahead here if you need an X-ray. I went on a Monday and no one, told they called in sick and then I went back the next day and someone was there. When I mentioned the google reviews about their X-ray tech they didn’t seem to care. Seems to be a frequent occurrence and many people have had the same experience. There is a shortage of X-ray techs but this is ridiculous. they need to update their website with live updates if that’s the case. The next locations for an X-ray would be myhealth in Pickering and they have live updates on their website. The building is very accessible but to get into Lifelabs there is no accessible button to get in or out. I had to help a lady push herself in a wheelchair because there was a lift. The staff didn’t even bat an eye to help and just watched her. don’t expect much here. The service and appointments can be quick but I question the operations and knowledge of the staff there. One of the techs put question marks around an area they couldn’t define on the imaging. 1st review: Lovely place. Much bigger than the location on Whites. It’s nice and new. The receptionist there was very pleasant. I had an 815am appointment and only 10 mins late. no issues getting in and out. Parking is free (for now) anyways and lots of it at least in the morning.
Usually it's pretty good here for appointments. Today, different story, showed up first @ 8:55am for my scheduled appointments @ 9am & 9:40am. There was no other patients in the office. I was told Dr forgot to sign the requisition. She asks me to run over to the Dr's office for a signature which is across parking lot. I am back in 5 mins. Now there's 2 people in office who all get to go before me! Another lady comes in after me for same test & she gets to go first. I'm now here 45 mins! While I'm here she's on a personal call & misplaced my requisition. Not pleased!!
Technician was competent. Hard to understand, particularly when wearing a mask. Hard to follow her instructions. Kept repeated the same instruction instead of trying to take a different approach. Coldness of the gel was not shared with me. Had to ask for a towel to clean myself. Needs coaching with respect to patient treatment.
