I’ve gone to other Plato’s closets and sold on online platforms such as Poshmark and Facebook. This is the worst place to sell. I’ve been here a few times to sell and every time hoping that maybe they’ll offer on some stuff I bring in, they always say things like “this isn’t the type of styles we can sell at our store”. I bring in Dynamite, H&M, Zara, some Forever 21. All the stuff around their store is like SHEIN, Streetwear Society, and I’ve even seen some George (Walmart) stuff in there. Confused why they never want my clothes. I bring in freshly laundered, gently used, and it’s not like they’re old styles. My husband has tried to sell shoes here, they offered under $10 on a pair of VERY TAKEN CARE OF Iverson Jordans. I was actually super offended when I went back to pick up for him and they had offered that. Waste of time, every time, I won’t be back.
dropped off a whole xl of ikea bags of clothes to receive literally 5 dollars and a dime due to “overstock” why even take clothes in the first place, waste of my time, came here 2 years ago and got 60 for less clothes than i brought this time
Actually ridiculous. I brought 5 huge bags of names brand clothing (Nike, lulu, champion, garage, adidas, etc) and they proceeded to take 6 things for 22$. Tell me why this store has shein, polyester wolf galaxy hoodies but they can’t take my 150$ Lululemon golf pants. They made the excuse that the clothing they didn’t take was either outdated or pilling which could not be further from the truth when I LITERALLY BOUGHT HALF OF IT FROM THE STORE. In the nicest way possible, if you’re going to work at a store like that you should have some fashion sense which at least 80% of the employees did not. There is absolutely no consistency in the store what so ever. Save ur time and money and do not drop your clothing off there.
Staff were super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They all work very hard, are very efficient and got everything done in the estimated time. Got a great deal for the clothes I brought in. Definitely recommend!
The staff was so professional and warm and they take a lot of things (helps as long as you bring them in good condition) Highly recommend this location - I will be coming back for sure!
Should’ve read the reviews before going in. They seem pretty accurate overall.1. Very friendly and welcoming staff. 2. Almost took twice as long to sort as they said it would, and it was not busy. 3. Can’t speak to the price’s of buying from them, but selling again overall reviews seem accurate. They wanted to buy 8 items of the 15 or so I brought in. They gave fair amounts for the lower end brands (Jack and Jones, Volcom etc..) but for the higher end stuff it was almost embarrassing. They offered more for a pair of Jack and Jones jeans than for a LL Bean winter plaid.(that’s just one example) Don’t think it was malicious, I do think the person/people doing the sorting/pricing need some help , not sure they know what they are looking at.
Weird service at the counter, however they got my items mixed up and although they took none of what I brought in, I walked away with 2 additional items which seem like new stuff. Somehow a few items from someone else's bag were mixed into mine. They were kind enough to check the footage but could not identify where the two additional items entered my bag. Thank you.
