Dunbarton high school is a prominent school in Pickering, Ontario and is situated in the Sheppard Avenue. It has spacious campus with playground, parking lot for students and staff. Besides these , it has a covered swimming pool fit for all seasons. The school has students in grades 9 - 12 and has academic and extracurricular activities in different categories. The courses in this facility are arts , English , music, drama , and dance.
I can only speak to the pool area as I take my son for swimming lesson but given the choice I would recommend choosing the Pickering recreational complex for swimming. Not only is the pool at Dunbarton is small but the change rooms are in a bit of disrepair. someone tracked poo in from outside on their shoes and right through to the pool deck. Sure there is a sign that says no shoes on the pool deck but does anyone listen? only me its seems! They also have a seating area with 3 small benches which are certainly not enough when there are 30 kids at any given time. Shape up or ship out Dunbarton.
not a good school for students who really want to focus on studies
I miss this school..... I graduated in 1989 and had some of my best memories at Dunbarton High school. The teachers were caring and educationally driven
