I can not rave more about the service my daughter and received here after a terrible experience at the Oshawa location. Thank you for making sure a little girl was treated like a person and encouraged to play.
Everyone I have worked with at this location has been great with the exception of Henry. This dude is as rude they come. Zero customer service skills. I have been a customer for several years. I bought a Beta91A mic a while back and it started to make a weird noise so I sent it for repair about a month ago. While I waited for the repair, the store let me borrow another used Beta 91A in the meantime. The repair came back and I returned the borrowed mic. I started using the repaired one, but the same issue persisted, so I took it back and requested an exchange for a new one, Valerie North kindly helped me take it back and ordered a new one for me (Oct. 4th.) I have called a few times about an update for the delivery of the new one as I was told it would arrive within a week. It has been 2 weeks and every time I called, Henry responded, I tried to explain the situation and every time he would just raise his voice and cut me off. He does not seem to know what's going on or how to go about it. I asked if I could borrow the same mic from another store in the mean time since this store does not have it in stock or demo every time I called. He just kept on saying I would just get an email and that he does not have the slight idea of an eta. The email never happened after 2 weeks. Anyway, he just decided to hang up the phone in the middle of me talking. I tried to call back but he sent me to voicemail.
Special thanks to Valarie North from acounts who fixed up an issue with my acount. My first puchase at L&M was in 1968 . It was a new Gibson 335 sold to me by Bob Abbout at their Yonge st. Store for $600. Times have changed a bit but the service is still great.

Exceeded my expectations. Tried overseas supplier for an instrument. Frustrating experience with absolutely no satisfaction. Explained to Long & McQuaid my requirements. Unable to supply new instrument but assured me they would find me used/rental. As a new player with limited resources I listened. Got back to me with a really good price. I accepted and they arranged for pickup (after transfer from another store) at a location geographically closer to me. Friendly service when arrived at store. Quick sales processing. Surprised me by including professional grade case in price. Felt they truly support supplied products. I know where I'm going to when I decide to upgrade instrument or secure consumables. Thanks to John, Rob, Simone, etc. for providing old fashioned customer service.
