Great modern theatre, located on south west side of mall. They have 8 or 9 theatres, party room, VIP lounge and fun games area (perfect way to end a date night or bring the kids). Even if you don't watch in the VIP theatre, regular theatre has reclining leather seats (super comfy). They offer movies in ultraAVX, VIP, 3D and regular. In VIP theatre, you can order alcoholic drinks and dinner delivered right to your seat.
Love love this VIP theater.This definately has to be in the list of top three theaters we love going to.The seats fully recline. The service is excellent and when you ask them to layer the butter on your popcorn, they really know what I am talking about because let me tell you; they did an amazing job. I will definitely go there again.
Great atmosphere. 1st time. Spacious. Modern upgrades. However, only bad experience I encountered was when the movie hasn't even started because the system double booked our seats. Luckily the theatre wasn't full so we took the next pair of seats over. If was, we would've had a problem in our hands. Let's hope management resolves this problem quickly.
The VIP lounge and cinema are nice, especially compared to the old theater, but the VIP movie selection is pretty limited. The food is good, although pricey, and tickets are expensive. Although a benefit to paying $25 per ticket is that people will rarely talk during the movie.The rest of the theater feels a bit claustrophobic and poorly laid out. There's no entrance to the Pickering Town Center, that the theater is connected to, and I'm not sure what was going on with the layout of the lobby but there isn't enough room for people to line up to buy tickets. The ticket line blocked the rest of the lobby and stretched into the games area. The non VIP seats technically recline, just not as much as the VIP seats, and the armrests can't be put in an upright position, which was mildly disappointing. That actually describes the entire experience, mildly disappointing.If the in-seat service matter to you, this is your theater. If it doesn't, go to Landmark for half the price, and a better experience.
I had a Great experience the other night . Myself and my mom went for dinner & a movie at the VIP cinema. We were met by a very handsome & charming man , the manager Jim. My mom is on a walker and he actually met us at the door and helped her in to our seat. He was very kind and helpful. We got our food and everything was very tasty and hot !! The manager came back and checked on us a few times while we ate. When we were ready to go into our movie Jim came and helped my mom to our seat . I can not get over the service that he gave us and how kind he was to my mom. He made her whole night ! She still talks about the charming man at the movie theatre and she cant wait to go back to see him again! Great Job Cineplex Pickering !! We will definitely be back :)
