I, as well as my sisters, have been frequent patrons of Kathryn’s for years. The service and food have been consistently spectacular. Recently, one of my sisters suffered a medical emergency while dining. During this emergency, the staff handled the situation with the utmost respect, urgency, and promptness. This was greatly appreciated and I cannot convey my gratitude enough. Shoutout to the staff.
Was happy to see that the menu was extensive and the portions were large. The food was quite good as well. However, there were sooooo many fruit flies. Kept swatting at them while eating, they flew into our drinks, died on our cans of pop... It was just out of control. There was a lot of garbage under the table as well, so we got put off with the lack of cleanliness and perhaps lack of sanitation with that amount of fruit flies. The food didn't take too long to come out, but we hardly saw the server. And it wasn't very busy. Would have loved to come back because of the food, but likely won't due to the lack of cleanliness/sanitation.
On behalf of my grandparents, I'm gotten take out from Kathryns for a while for my family but yesterday was the first time I went in and sat down. The service was great, the food and portions were great, everything was just a great experience. Our waitress was so friendly too! Definately will be coming back again.
Since the new owners arrived, the food is terrible. From what I understand, the owner is the cook and he has no experience with food preparation. He also hired cooks with no experience. I gave them a chance and after about a year, I stopped going. They would pour salad dressing all over your rice and chicken. No idea what theyre doing. I know a lot of customers stopped going. They're busy during breakfast, but if you go after that, the restaurant is always empty. There's also fruit flies and bugs flying around the tables all the time. Do not recommend this restaurant.
My dad and I had there small burgers with fries. They did cook it but it tasted off. Either undercooked or been sitting way too long and tasted very questionable wouldn't recommend. I also called them and phone rang 15 times and no one answered first time. Keep in mind No one was dining in the place. The fries could have been cooked a little bit more but that's the least of my worries.
Staff were very polite, kind, caring and attentive. Very reasonably priced. However the food quality was rather poor. On a plate of Bacon, eggs, and home potatoes: Bacon was dry and cold, potatoes (half of the plate) were very undercooked. Duct tape covered torn upholstery, with many fruit flies present.
Just got breakfast with my little one and it was great!! Delicious and just what you want breakfast to be. Very affordable too and kind friendly staff.
