Our family recently adopted a kitten from this wonderful shelter. Every step of the process was smooth, informative and warm. Jeff and the lovely team took their time answering our questions with patience and care. The shelter itself is quaint and welcoming- both for visitors and for their lovely furry residents. Highly recommend for a heartwarming experience. We will certainly be paying a visit when ready to adopt again in the future! Much gratitude Pickering Animal Services!
Staff were really sweet, wonderful and kind. I had to make a hard decision and the staff were very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend to people looking to adopt from staff who ACTUALLY care about the animals.

We were so impressed with how clean the place was, how caring the staff were and most importantly how well the animals were being cared for. my father adoped my cat from here for me 8 years ago for my 10th birthday, i was not there because she was a surprise but apparently she picked him lol?. her name was Zuma when we got her, but here she is 8 years later with a better name! this is Maddie
Excellent service. The staff is very professional and careful with each of the animals, super clean and well cared for. I loved that they treated my chihuahua very well who had disappeared a day before and they found her and took her to that blessed place.
I adopted my cat Storm from Pickering Animal Services. It’s a great animal shelter. She’s really integrating well into my home and is such a sweet girl! They really take care of their animals including food, deworming, and other services. They are reliable, trustworthy, and truly care about their animals. It’s so heartwarming! Highly recommend adopting from here. They also give you 6 weeks of free insurance for your cat (you can opt-in), and sent me home with the rest of Storm’s special food which can only be found at the vet. ? UPDATE: 2 years later - Storm is well, happy, and thriving. I take her to the vet whenever she needs it, brush her teeth, and give her a variety of foods. She roams outside often and enjoys the outdoors. ?
